Gualdoni’s photography seeks to find the right chromatic scales to convey peace and power. The vast landscapes and snow-capped peaks contrast with the perfect imperfection of the details. Black and white is emphasized and reaches a perfect balance in the artist’s work. Multiple-shot works play at provoking disorientation, wonder, and curiosity in the viewer.
Cesare Gualdoni has been a professional photographer of watches and jewelry for 35 years in Milan. In the 1980s he exhibited at the Utopia bookshop in Milan with “Vidicon 1980/81” and his “Affiches” of watches at the Parma Fair. In 2022 he resumed his authorial activity. He took part in the MIA Photo Fair in Milan (2022) and WOPART in Lugano (2022), with the projects “Flowers and Vegetables” and “Paris, Double Shots.” In 2023 he exhibited the vintage photographs “VIDICON 1980/81” at the ONOFF gallery in Milan, as part of a project to reevaluate that fantastic experience. In 2024 he was once again present in Lugano at YouNique with the work “Two is not double one, but... the opposite.”
